Week 19

This week has been full of miracles. I don't even know where to begin. We've been praying to find new investigators and to work with the members of the ward better. The people in Washington are unfortunately very stubborn...ugh.

But, Heavenly Father is quick to bless us. Since yesterday was fast Sunday we decided to fast for the investigators that we do have. Sister Varney is on date for April 9th (pray for her because she has some word of wisdom things she needs to over come!). And we also asked that we'd be able to find those who are prepared to hear the message of the Restored gospel. Well, last night we had put off our finding till 7 (we are asked to go tracting for at least an hour every day) so it was dark outside. Before we got out of the car I looked at the houses down the street and was trying to decide which one to knock on. One stood out, so I looked to Sister Linker and said that we needed to knock on that one.

The man who answered was pretty open. He told us that he started going back to church about 6 months ago and tries to go every week. He said that he was going to be baptized on the 20th. Sister Linker said, "what if you could be baptized into the church that Christ origionally organized?" he said "that'd be cool". So obviously we taught him a little about the restoration and the Priesthood. After we prayed with him (because we do weird things like praying on people's porches) Sister Linker again asked him about the baptism thing then invited him to be baptized in our church if he came to know if what we taught was true. He said yes.

Heavenly Father is a God of miracles. I have such a strong testimony of the power of fasting and prayer. As we turn to the Lord and sacrifice for Him He will in turn reach out to us.

The work is so great. I love it. I love you. Keep up the great work!
